Knowledge has no single center.
INFINIA is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, Open Access scholarly journal published in the United States by Open Heritage Press, within the broader academic ecosystem of the Maya Heritage Center and in institutional partnership with the International Foundation for Peace.
Under the principle “Where Knowledge Crosses Borders,” INFINIA provides a space for rigorous, original, and innovative scholarship across disciplinary, geographical, linguistic, cultural, and epistemic boundaries. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers worldwide and seeks to foster meaningful intellectual exchange among disciplines, research traditions, institutions, and scholarly communities.
Scope and Scholarly Mission
INFINIA is founded on the conviction that knowledge has no single center. Scientific and scholarly excellence can emerge from different regions, languages, institutions, disciplines, and intellectual traditions, and meaningful advances often occur when these perspectives encounter one another.
The journal is particularly committed to broadening the geography of scholarly communication. It promotes international collaboration, strengthens South–South academic exchange, and encourages dialogue among researchers and institutions across the Global South and other regions of the world. INFINIA values epistemic diversity and seeks to provide visibility to high-quality scholarship regardless of its geographical or institutional origin.
The journal welcomes contributions from the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, law, technology, health sciences, environmental studies, and other fields. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research addressing complex contemporary questions is particularly encouraged.
Open Access and Publication Fees
INFINIA operates under an Open Access model. All published content is freely and immediately accessible to readers without subscription or access fees.
Authors are not charged Article Processing Charges (APCs) or publication fees.
The journal supports Open Science, the responsible circulation of research outputs, and the broad accessibility of scholarly knowledge.
Peer Review and Research Integrity
Research articles published by INFINIA undergo rigorous peer review in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies. Editorial evaluation is guided by scholarly quality, methodological rigor, originality, relevance, research integrity, and contribution to knowledge.
INFINIA promotes responsible research practices, transparency, appropriate attribution, ethical scholarly conduct, and respect for the intellectual contributions of authors, reviewers, research participants, communities, and other knowledge holders.

Multilingual Scholarly Communication
INFINIA recognizes linguistic diversity as an important component of international scholarly communication. The journal supports multilingual scholarship and seeks to facilitate intellectual exchange across linguistic as well as disciplinary and geographical boundaries.
The journal’s principal editorial languages include English, Spanish, and French, while its international orientation encourages dialogue among broader linguistic and scholarly communities.
Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies
INFINIA recognizes artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies as legitimate and evolving tools in contemporary scholarly practice.
The journal supports their responsible, transparent, and critically supervised use in research, academic writing, language assistance, peer review, and editorial processes. The use of artificial intelligence does not, by itself, constitute academic or editorial misconduct.
INFINIA evaluates the use of AI according to principles of human accountability, transparency, verification, confidentiality, research integrity, and appropriate disclosure.
Authors, reviewers, and editors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, confidentiality, and intellectual quality of the scholarly work and editorial activities for which they are accountable. AI systems cannot assume authorship or responsibility for scholarly content.
INFINIA seeks not merely to respond to transformations in scholarly communication, but to provide an open and responsible environment in which emerging forms of knowledge production and scholarly collaboration can be critically explored.

INFINIA is published by Open Heritage Press, an independent scholarly publishing initiative based in the United States and dedicated to open, accessible, and internationally oriented academic publishing.
The journal forms part of the broader academic and knowledge-dissemination ecosystem associated with the Maya Heritage Center, connecting research, education, cultural knowledge, scholarly publishing, institutions, and communities.
